Rhine Windowboxes                               10" x 14"                                          150.00

Here is another thing I liked about Miltenburg:  the windowboxes.
In this case, the flowers are geraniums but the houses in this charming town on the Rhine  featured dozens of varieties of flowers in the windows.  The landscaping along the river was also bursting with color.  I think we were there at the right time of the year to benefit from the industriousness of the townsfolk.

I have to admit that I am the one who cracked and peeled the stucco for my own sense of composition.  The town was really very well kept and beautifully preserved.   Also, this is a fairly small painting compared to my usual half-sheets and whole-sheets of Arches watercolor paper...so I have priced it well below my usual prices.
